The Genesis of Motherhood.

Every life begins in pain – the pain that gives birth to a mother and motherhood. The birth itself is more a moment of transition when the woman hangs suspended in time—tired, elated and relieved.

This picture is meant to symbolize the physical and mental pain experienced by a woman during the period of transition from womanhood to motherhood. The timepiece that displays 9 o’ clock represents the period of nine months - when every woman nurtures life - life that is evolved from pain.
